Charlie the Cat Has A Cold | Critter Fixers: Country Vets

Let’s go see this cat. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Good, good. How are you? All right. What’s going on? Charlie? He’s a rescue kitty. I got him from a shelter, and he’s developed some sneezing a little bit and discharge through the nose. At home He wasn’t really meowing. Hey. You got a nice little rasp there, Charlie. I adopted Charlie a couple of weeks ago. He just reacted to me so well. I kind of knew then that that was probably the cat for me. And when I got him, I noticed that he was sneezing, not meowing. and discharge through the nose and eyes. So I just want to make sure he’s okay. But Cat doesn’t meow. And you can hear the rasp and really red down in there. Okay. Is that why he’s not meowing? Yes, ma’am. Okay. Oh, I see some x rays of Charlie’s chest just so I can see what’s going on. All right. Hey, I’ll be right back. All right. Charlie’s cat, he has a mucus around the nose, and definitely some wheezing is a little bit of drain from the eyes And I can tell his tonsils area is really red in his throat. One thing you worry about is viral diseases, secondary pneumonia, bacterial infection, throat, but a pneumonia. Well, really busy shooting. So I’m hoping xrays reveal a clear chest cavity. You’re pretty fiesty. What do you think, doc? This looks good. You just got a simple little cold, huh? We’ve got an upper respiratory infection Let’s go ahead. get Charlie a little medicine We’ll do something for his eyes. I mean, I know. In Critter Fixers we see all kinds of stuff, but sometimes we get stuff just like, simple, common cold. This kitty is a rescue kitty. These guys are in kennels, so it’s kind of like, you know, going to school and being in the classroom with all the kids, and they pass colds back and forth. Fortunately, with some antibiotics, I think Charlie is going to be fantastic. All good news, He’s just got a cold. Not a bad cold. The chest looks fine. So maybe he’ll get his meow back. Oh, yes, ma’am. We get a sore throat. So pretty soon you’re going to be like be quiet cat, because he’s going to be meowing a lot. We just got some antibodies to make sure you don’t have on your Sunday best clothing. Oh, I know. All about. Yes, we have cats medication also. These are just gonna be for his eyes. Oh, okay. One, two. You got someone to help you? I need to send Paul home. Come on over I’m not a bad cook. See you later, Bud. Take care. Thank you so much. I’m very relieved that it just turned out to be a little cold that I can treat with the eyedrops and the antibiotics. And he’ll be on his way. And Dr. Hodges says that he’s going to be meowing in no time. You hear that?
